511NY Rideshare
Program Communications &
Creative Leadership

511NY Rideshare is a statewide program sponsored by the New York State Department of Transportation that helps New Yorkers find smarter ways to get around — carpooling, vanpooling, transit, biking, walking, and telework. The program serves commuters, employers, universities, hospitals, and municipalities across every county in New York State.

Role: Senior Communications Manager · Content Lead · Creative Direction · Integrated Marketing

Leading the full communications program for a statewide behavior-change initiative reaching millions of New Yorkers across urban, suburban, and rural communities, through year-round campaigns, employer outreach, bilingual content, and a platform serving dozens of distinct audiences at once.

This wasn't a single campaign — it was a year-round communications operation. I led a five-person team responsible for everything the program put into the world: Earth Month, Car Free Day, Drive Electric Week, Climate Week NYC, National Bike Month, employer partner toolkits, bilingual outreach, website content, and email automation through Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The work had to serve commuters looking for a carpool, HR managers at major health systems, university sustainability offices, and state agencies — often simultaneously. I developed and produced campaign materials in English and Spanish, managed employer partner portals, and built the operational infrastructure that kept it all moving consistently. That infrastructure made the output possible at scale over two years without dropping anything.
